To assist the most vulnerable individuals and families who are at risk of losing or have already lost their income as a result of the adoption of the Coronavirus response measures, the Government of Togo is setting up a cash transfer programme, Novissi.

What is NOVISSI?
To support eligible Togolese citizens in the informal sector whose daily income has been disrupted by the Coronavirus crisis, the Government of Togo has set up the “NOVISSI” cash transfer scheme. NOVISSI provides monthly financial aid to the most vulnerable individuals and families throughout the duration of the state of health emergency.

Who is eligible to receive support under NOVISSI?
To qualify for the NOVISSI programme, applicants must:
be a Togolese citizen
resident in Togo
Be an informal worker whose daily revenue has been affected by the Coronavirus crisis
Possess a voter's ID card
be 18 years or older

How much do beneficiaries receive?
During the state of health emergency in Togo, NOVISSI beneficiaries will receive cash transfers worth:
12 250 F CFA
per month for women
10 500 F CFA
per month for men
Half of this amount is paid every two weeks to each beneficiary’s mobile money account. These regular payments will continue for the duration of the state of health emergency.
To avoid physical contact and reduce the risk of spreading the virus, the Government strongly advises that beneficiaries take advantage of mobile payments when using NOVISSI funds to cater for basic needs such as:
Purchasing food and water
Paying water and electricity bills
Purchasing airtime
